A Dubai-based aerial operator, permitted by both UAE authorities, filming mostly for hospitality.
Sortie Aerials is the aerial arm of Sortie Media, a Dubai social media and content creation agency. Aerial operations run under their own registered entity, Sortie Media Aerial Photography Services L.L.C. S.O.C., which is what holds the drone permits.
The split is deliberate. Aerial work has its own requirements — permits, airspace, insurance, a different set of skills on the day — and clients looking for a drone crew are usually not looking for a content retainer at the same moment. Keeping them separate means each proposition is clear, while a project that needs both can still be run by one company.
We fly for hotels and resorts, property developers, tourism boards, events, automotive and construction, across Dubai and the wider UAE.

DCAA drone permit
Permitted to operate drones for commercial filming in Dubai.
- General Civil Aviation Authority
GCAA drone permit
Permitted to operate drones for commercial filming across the UAE.
Holding these permits makes us a permitted operator. It does not, on its own, authorise every flight — individual operations can still need airspace, security, location and filming approvals depending on where and how we are flying. We manage those per project.
